While appointments at Apex are usually 3 to 4 weeks from booking, it's well worth the wait. I took my 2019 Outback to Frank and Jason on the recommendation of friends in Markham. I had my Fog and Low Beams replaced with LEDs, my Hi Beam Halogens replaced, my Wipers replaced with OEMs, a Schedule A performed, and the car checked over. When presented with the bill, I asked if they wanted to charge more as I thought the amount was too low for the parts and labour.A week or so later, the left Low Beam LED started flickering intermittently. I called and was asked to bring the car in at my convenience, no appointment necessary. The LED was warrantied, no charge to me, and I was on my way in less than an hour.Stellar, professional service at reasonable rates - a win-win for any Subaru owner. And, as mentioned in other reviews, both honesty and integrity at Apex.

Been going here for years and I used to be able to make an appointment that week but he's so damn good at his job and so reasonable that I don't think he's lost a single customer in his entire life. His team is great they don't do anything you don't actually need but will make reasonable recommendations or tell you realistically how much life is left on your tires/rotors... Many times I've brought my car in because I heard a weird noise or something and they have fixed it often without even charging. For example a rock stuck between a caliper and brake pad... Impossible for me to fix for then probably 10-15 minutes from start to finish but no charge. I will keep going here even after I move to Stouffville.

Been getting my STI/ Wrx serviced here for some time now and Jason/Frank and his team are the best! Reasonable pricing for the quality of work and very honest group of guys. They specialize in Subaru so if you got one I’d recommend getting your car serviced here, even if youre quite the distance from Markham it’s worth the drive.

With repetitive check engine light up, they diagnosed our Impreza and simply cleaned the MAF sensor which made the billing very affordable. For other less honest/inexperienced mechanics, they might unnecessarily replace the sensor and bill accordingly. We definitely will come back for other fixes. As they are so renowned, appointment wait time might be longer (a week or more).

I've owned several Subarus and taken them to many different dealers and independent shops. Jason, Frank and team are hands down the best. I still bring my vehicle down to them from Barrie since moving away from Markham last year. They provide the service you really wish all dealers would. Had my outback serviced at this shop for the first time last week and really pleased with the experience. Very honest and efficient, and very reasonably priced.They will only do what is necessary, no upselling and no bs. This was quite a refreshing change after dealing with dealerships service departments that keep looking for opportunities to replace parts at every opportunity. Did an HKS Cat-back exhaust install on my 2019 Subaru BRZ at Apex Auto. Super nice and professional staff and the install went as smooth as possible. When deciding where to take my Subaru to shop I wanted to take it to a place that knew what they where doing and a reputation for good work.I googled best local Subaru shops and Apex was one of the top shops. By the reviews and the phone conversation I had with them I made my choice.It was my first time taking my car there and it wasn't a small job was pretty big one at that. Head gasket, Timing belt, rear and front differential fluid change and transmission fluid change.They finished the job in a timely manner and The price was very fair.When I looked over they're work I knew I made the right call.Jason and Frank where always polite over the phone and always answered my questions.I would highly recommend if you have Subaru take it to Apex quality work done the right.

These guys are the best of the best when it comes to Subaru mechanics. They are honest, friendly and their service rates are phenomenal. They charge by the exact time used unlike the generic service schedule rates at the Subaru dealership. So it comes out way cheaper than getting it serviced at the dealership.Their maintenance report is web based and very detailed. Far better than anything I've seen from the dealership. Jason also helped me out for free for a small problem with one of the door seals. Just amazing service all around! It's no wonder why they have maintained a 5 star rating all these years!

Jason is stand up guy. I own a Mercedes but still go to his shop which specialize in Subaru. He doesn't BS selling you un-needed repairs. Reports to you areas of concern and lets you make judgment. Not pushy at all. Rare in the automotive industry. Enough said.

Absolutely AMAZING service from Jason and the crew over at Apex! Originally corresponded via email awhile back to book an appointment, Jason made the booking process incredibly simple and easy. Showed up this morning to Jason immediately greeting me at the door, gave me a ETA on when I should pick up the car and off I went for a short walk to the mall that is a 2 minute walk from there to the west. Compared to other shops I've been that either do not have the same attention to detail or are in the middle of nowhere, Apex was a welcomed and fresh experience! I've been coming to Apex Auto for well over 10 years now, and I can quite honestly say that there is no other auto shop I would trust more than them. That is a big statement to make, especially in the automotive industry but I standby it. Frankie and Jay are not only experts at what they do, they also care about their clients, and that I believe is what sets them apart from being great mechanics to actually being the best.I first started coming to Apex when I had purchased a used Mini back in 2011. I only had the car for 3 years and I visited Frankie and Jays shop quite regularly and for different issues every time. It got to the point that Frankie said, "I really do appreciate your business, but this is just not a good car and it will most likely continue to cause issues." Now, any other mechanic wouldn't tell this to you because they are just looking to make a quick buck, but not Apex. Like I said, they actually care! Needless to say I quickly got rid of that vehicle and finally stopped hemorrhaging out money.I'm really so happy with the service I've received from Apex Auto, and would highly recommend them to anyone that is exhausted from searching for a well-trusted and reliable mechanic. On our way to camping, our engine light was on and would go up to 50km/hr. I did a quick internet search for nearby mechanics and found this shop.We called and they said they were fully booked till one month later. I explained how I was not from around here and how we were in a hurry. They offered to give it a look.Ten minutes later, the problem was regulated. Afterwards, I asked how much they charge for this check-up. The guys smiled and said that it costs nothing cause he “did nothing”.Even to a stranger, he was so humble and generous.So I recommend this place! It definitely deserves 5 stars!

I have been to Apex for oil changes, centre differential replacement, brakes and performance modification work. They have been professional, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. An example of being reasonably priced is when I had to get the centre differential replaced I got quotes of 8 hours from Subaru and an independent shop. Apex came in at less than half the time the others wanted. They are the only shop I will bring my Subaru to.

I was tired of going to Subaru dealer for overprice and sad customer service. I was looking up places recommended in Toronto Subaru Club and saw all the 5 star reviews and thought this is too good to be true. The team here is great and knowledgeable and very upfront and honest with the service and pricing. It is a far drive for me but very worth it. I had taken my car to my local dealership when the check engine light came on. It was a huge safety concern as the car lost all traction and safety features. Driving in the snow became very concerning, especially with kids. At the dealership, they quoted me $550 in parts and labour to fix the issue. I left at that point to see if I could get a 2nd opinion. Googled Subaru mechanics and up popped Apex Auto. Booked an appointment with them.They took my car in promptly. Jason was great. He explained that they had found the root cause of the issue and rectified it without replacing the part that Subaru Richmond Hill had told me I had to replace. I ended up saving hundreds of dollars. They follow the Subaru maintenance program so I'll be back there to get the rest of my maintenance done as well as some body work. Very professional and customer friendly environment without the pressure / costs of a dealership.

Great service and superior technical expertise. Had a check engine light on for over a year. Dealer said it was the ABS and was going to cost $3,000 to repair but in the end a new battery caused an error code. Apex re programmed the electrical system and the check engine, ABS, cruise flashing lights went away, Franccisco and gang did a great job.

This is not your typical auto shop. I’ve been here a few times now and I can say that I will not go anywhere else. Jason and team make the experience so smooth that you come back 100% satisfied - quite rare feeling for this industry. They patiently take time to answer all your questions and are super accommodating. They really do put you, the customer, first. The pricing too is very fair - I haven’t been to many independent auto shops but just by having a conversation with these guys, you get a feeling they will be quite fair. Since I've read multiple strongly positive reviews of Jason and Frank at Apex Automotive on the Toronto Subaru Club forum, I decided to give them a try with my wife's WRX several months ago. I was really impressed by their professionalism and that they make the time to explain things to me. Since then, I've brought my own WRX there too for regular maintenance. While my history with them is based on just three visits, I can say I have confidence they take good care of our WRXs. In my opinion, if you need to have your Subaru serviced and can't do the work yourself, you basically have two options:1) You can roll the dice and take your car to a Subaru dealer where they will either repair it for a reasonable fee or run up an $800 bill for parts that didn't need to be replaced and send you off with the same problem you drove in with.OR2) You can visit Jason Luu at Apex Automotive and have one of those all-too-rare experiences of meeting a talented, honest mechanic who takes serious pride in his work.For me, there is no choice. And I'm happy to make the drive from Toronto to Markham, knowing that I'll be treated fairly by skillful and professional mechanics.Thanks, Jason.

I hesitate to give Frank and Jason 5 stars because then it will be harder to get in to see them.Seriously, there's never been a problem booking and I don't know why anyone would go anywhere else for service. I drive 30 km. They are unfailingly courteous, the charges are more than fair and they maintain an immaculate environment for clients and are entirely Covid-19 aware.

I have been to Apex several times to service my Subaru and I can say that I am extremely happy with the service received. Jason and his crew are honest, professional, courteous, and get everything done quickly and efficiently. They don't cut corners and if they don't get something right the first time, they will make sure to resolve the issue and take care of it so you are satisfied. They are also receptive to feedback and actually take it to heart. I can't ask for more and would highly recommend Apex Auto to anyone looking for a good, honest mechanic!!

My car is a 1998 Impreza. I have been using Apex as my go-to shop for a few years now. Jason has been fantastic to work with and I am always happy with the results. My most recent visits have been for aftermarket suspension installs and a boost leak repair. No hassle, honest opinions, good advice, quick turnaround. A great experience every time.

It was my first time here and highly recommended by a friend of mine who is an auto mechanic.One of the best garages I’ve ever been to.I had an appointment booked and they took my car immediately on arrival. The garage was clean and organized. The service was efficient and to perfection.I’m very happy to be a new client here.

I write very few reviews. I only take time to write ones for places that really deserve it. I've been coming to this shop for a while because of the great quality of service done in a timely manner. Pricing is also fair which is a big bonus. Frank and Jason take care of my vehicles every time I have meachnical issues. They are honest about what needs to be repaired/fixed unlike other shops. I highly recommend Apex Auto.

We came to Apex looking for help with our Forester that needed a short block replacement. Frank was quick to also look into a total engine replacement which ended up being cheaper. The work this shop does is amazing and our Forester somehow drives even better now. He was honest, curt and very straightforward with options. Overall I'll come back here next time I have an issue! Definitely recommend!
